Author Visits

I’d love to visit your library or classroom!

Visits can be done in person or online through Zoom, Skype and other platforms (see video at the bottom of the page to get an idea of what it’s like to connect virtually). Please click on the titles below to find out more about specific presentations and workshops. I’m happy to accommodate different audience sizes, ages and subject requests! I will also be developing a presentation on science writing and CRISPR.

No More Rules!

In this fun program, best suited to grades 2-6, I talk about writing rules; specifically how and when to break them.

The Magic of Three

This interactive presentation or workshop shows students how to apply the magic of three to their writing.

Getting Published

I vary this presentation to suit student or adult audiences, with the option of individual manuscript consultations.

“Thank you so much for being so accommodating and flexible! The students were so excited and are anxious to read your books! They especially appreciated hearing about your writing experiences and are encouraged about the editing process. It was a pleasure to meet you via FaceTime and we look forward to continued relationship.”

Janine Draper, Literacy Week Co-ordinator

“The kids and teachers loved your presentation, it was an absolute hit. I just wanted to thank you again!”
